Tentative mental cast list for Once More with Feeling! On Ice, if it were to happen. Thanks to Penguin for her input, as this was more the result of a conversation we were having based on a twitter conversation that happened recently.

OMG YES THIS POST.

Ashley Wagner is my dream Buffy. Meagan Duhamel is my pairs program Buffy. Kurt was my SOI cast Giles, but Ashley and Mr. Nicks are totally skating Buffy and Giles. I could see Alissa as Tara.

Dai as Sweet is fantastic, omg. He’d be all WHY’D YOU RUN AWAY DON’T YOU LIKE MY STYYYYYLE (off-ice: lolol no i hate my style i hate my skating i hate my life come back meryl) 

For not strictly-OMWF programs, I have like a mental list.

• Ashley Wagner as Buffy - The Final Fight (verycleanindeed mentioned this specific piece to me, and now I want this so bad I could see the elements mapped out in my head.)
• Mirai Nagasu as Dawn - Dawn’s Ballet (as a short program, and also a contrasting piece of music would be mixed in, like her POTC or WoE programs, but I would definitely start with the “waking up” intro of Dawn’s Ballet for mirai)
• I agree with Kanako Murakami as early Willow - Waking Willow would need some creative mixing but you could take other pieces of the score to flesh it out. Maybe add some Vamp Willow to balance it out? Or be a possibly questionable music cut that we could grow to love.
• On that note, Vamp Willow herself in my mind would be Elene Gedevanishvili. idek. I’m mostly thinking of the costume here.
• Keegan Messing as…the First Slayer? lol just call this a general program. - Restless Suite I was going to assign this to “any Morozov skater and he’ll just replicate it for all past and future skaters anyway” but I’d rather see Keegan do it.
• Yuna Kim - Hush Suite …jk, I only want this because if we’re doing Hush, I would definitely be the person to mix in Danse Macabre because Giles used it in the episode and then cry that Yuna’s not coming back. But if I were to assign this to anyone else, I’d probably go with Robin and Aliona, where they would do the story of The Gentlemen and the princess rather than Buffy characters themselves.
• Faith is obviously Alena Leonova (also the perfect Faith to Ashley’s Buffy, considering their results have always been so closely related [also, does it sting that Ashley has beaten you in every free skate for the past 2.5 years DOES IT DOES IT]), but the program would be so bad that could we just not. I vote for Amelie Lacoste to have a good program, if not a very technically interesting one.
• I don’t have any dance ideas that fit in my head, but if someone can take I’ll Never Tell and add it to like, the finnstep or a tap dance theme…
• AAAND for the famous Close Your Eyes, Meagan and Eric because Eric has all these hidden broody feels and his hair stands straight up. Also, Donlan/Speroff. I’m not sure I would do it as a singles program. But possibly Caroline Zhang. On the guy’s side, Takahiko Kozuka.
